Reset your Office 365 Account Password
This page is applicable to Southern Academy Trust staff that are employees at the following schools:
- Motcombe Primary School
- Shaftesbury Primary School
- St Andrews Fontmell Primary School
All Southern Academy Trust staff now belong in the same Office 365 Tenancy, providing greater opportunities to collaborate and share between colleagues. If this is the first time you are trying to login to your Office 365 or wish to reset your password to something else (You know what your current password is): If logging in for the first time, have your temporary password (provided by the IT Support Dept.) to hand, you’ll need this when setting up your new account. Access the password reset website by following the link in the box to the right.
Step by Step
If you haven’t already, navigate to the password reset website linked above. You’ll see this page, asking you for the following details:
- Domain\User Name
- Current Password
- New Password
- Confirm New Password
Domain\Username: This will be in the following format: school\firstname.lastname The ‘school\’ before your firstname.lastname is very important, without this you’ll be unable to reset your password. Current Password: If this if your first time logging in, type in the temporary password the IT Support Dept. have issued you or if you wish to simply change your password to something else, please type in the password you currently use to login to Office 365. New Password: Type in the new password you wish to set your account with. Confirm New Password: Type in the password you with to set your account with again, the same as above.
Click on the button ‘Submit’ when you have typed the above details. If all is successful, you’ll get the following message ‘Your password has been successfully changed’. Your password has now been changed, and you can login to Office 365 using this. Feel free to close down the password reset web page. Link to your Office 365 login page: https://mail.office365.com
